Multi-Platform
Compatibility
OpCon/xps provides more proven interfaces and functionality than any other scheduling
solution. |
Enterprisewide
Automation
Lets one person manage entire network from one screen. Leverages his knowledge
across enterprise without platform-specific expertise. |
THROUGHPUT
On Enterprise-level servers and mainframes it is quite possible to run hundreds of concurrent tasks, which (depending on the duration of the tasks) can equate to thousands of tasks per hour. |
scalability
Automating with OpCon/xps will not place any unnecessary limitations, restrictions or overhead on getting your workload processed. As your processing requirements grow, OpCon/xps will easily scale to meet them. |
Distributed Architecture
Works with everything from mainframes to PCs. Offloads and removes excessive
overhead from applications processing systems. |
Greater Productivity
Enables extended reach and faster execution. Using OpCon/xps, one person in one
location can manage many boxes, operating systems and applications in many
different locations. |
Powerful Engine
Can handle everything from file transfers across enterprise to date/time actions,
disaster recovery, middleware configuration and more. |
Reduces Errors,
Downtime
Tens of thousands of processes, file transfers, reports, print runs, backups
and more can be scheduled and monitored for fast, flawless execution. |
Integrated Dependencies
Implements hundreds of cross-platform dependencies as if they were common to
all systems. No outside tables or off-schedule processes needed. |
Dynamic Adjustments
OpCon/xps automatically responds to changes in environment according to policies,
scenarios and contingency plans you define in the database. |
Event-driven Processing
Detects and generates events needed to process specified workflows. |
Unparalleled Responsiveness
Helps enterprise react quickly and precisely to rapidly changing conditions. |
Master and Daily
Schedules
Users can modify conditions and requirements for one-off processing without resetting
workflows for other days. |
Flexibility
More flexible batch processing, modeling, and forecasting capabilities. |
Independent and
Dependent Schedules
Supports both sequential and parallel processing. Automatically handles conflicts,
dependencies, resources and priorities. |
Customizable Processes
Automates processes sequentially, concurrently or independently. Prioritizes
certain processes over others. |
EFFICIENT AGENTS
OpCon/xps Agents are extremely efficient and typically consume less than one or two percent of the resources on production systems to initiate and monitor tasks. |
MINIMAL OVERHEAD ON PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
Not only does OpCon/xps enable the user to make the most efficient use of their production resources, it also does it with minimal cost. |
Rerun and Recovery
Provides extensive rerun and recovery capabilities for applications, schedules
and entire departments. |
Enhanced Control
Re-processes a group of jobs from last week while still processing this week's
schedules without conflict. |
Scalability
Supports new and emerging technologies as well as legacy systems. |
Growth Support
Preserves your investment without compromising the future. |
Low Overhead
Main app requires less than 50 Megabytes on stand-alone server. Client agents
require as little as 220 KB. |
Faster Performance
Improves performance of limited legacy systems. Uses fewer IT resources. Easy
to implement. |
Authentication,
Encryption and Firewall Support
All processes and functions strictly controlled by user-defined security privileges. |
Tailored Security
Restricts access to functions, views and data by user, department, time period,
or task. |
Integrated Complex
Event Logic
Responds dynamically to changes in environment without need for human intervention. |
Rapid Execution
Handles interruptions, dependencies and outside events in a fraction of the time
required by humans. |
Critical Path
Management
Identifies tasks required for project to be completed on time. |
On-Time Delivery
Prioritizes most urgent tasks to ensure successful completion. |
ASYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATIONS
Communications between the OpCon/xps server and the OpCon/xps agents are asynchronous. Communications occur only on an 'as-needed' basis, thus avoiding the overhead that can be incurred by 'polling' agents or by having the agents connect to the central database using ODBC or some other similar protocol. |
MINIMAL NETWORK OVERHEAD
OpCon/xps imposes minimal overhead on the network in order to initiate and monitor tasks. Implementing OpCon/xps does not require users to incur additional network costs.
|
24/7/365 Technical
Support
Provides access to programmers of the product if needed. |
Quick, Effective
Resolution
Knowledgeable person helps resolve high percentage of issues on first call. |
